From one on one conversations with peers, to embedding voter registration into the structure of student experience through creative programming, come learn how to run a successful effort on your own campus, and increase youth turnout this election cycle.

Racism permeates every part of our society and the democratic process and voting is no exception. It’s important to name how racism shows up as voter suppression and what we should do to continue dismantle discriminatory practices and systems. Experts will share their insights, experiences and recommendations of what’s at stake, what voter suppression in California looks like, and what we should do to continue to get the vote out in 2020.

Voting can be a confusing process even when you don't have a pandemic to worry about. This session, hosted by the California Secretary of State's Office, will do a deep dive on everything you need to know to confidently vote this fall: from learning the A to Z's of updating your voter registration, voting by mail, and things to look out for if you decide to vote in person. Come to this session to learn everything you need to know to create your vote plan, and arm yourself with the knowledge to help your community vote this fall, too!
